Research Projects

Sand Technology Co. LLC will design and carry out research projects on foundry molding and core sands, reclaimed sands, chemically bonded sands, and sand additives.  Capabilities include the production of test castings, conventional and advanced sand testing, and application of modern analytical instrumental methods such as ICP AE< GC MS< IR etc, where required.  Examples of research projects include evaluation and comparisons of bentonites, seacoals, chemical binders, and sands.  Effects of core sand dilution can be evaluated or reclaimed sand can be tested for effectiveness of the reclamation method, etc.  Sand Technology Co. LLC will be happy to tailor research to suit your specific needs, and carry out projects to provide the answers you need.
