Sand Testing

The sand testing services offered by Sand Technology Co. LLC include routine sand testing and special troubleshooting.  Packages are available for routine daily, weekly, or monthly tests.  All of the standard conventional sand tests are offered,  in addition to the advanced tests such as friability, cone jolt toughness, wet tensile, ammoniacal nitrogen, gas evolution, and the SILICA PROGRAM Test Series.  Complete sand testing services are offered for greensand, chemically bonded sand, reclaimed sand, and bentonites and preblends.

In addition to providing the conventional and advanced tests, Sand Technology Co. LLC is bringing foundry sand testing into the new millennium through application of modern analytical instrumentation including inductively coupled plasma atomic emission (ICPAE), Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GS MS), Infrared Methods (IR), X-Ray Diffraction, Gas Evolution, and more.
